The solo exhibition titled “Davide Benati. reportage di un viaggio interiore” presents a selection of twelve watercolours by Davide Benati realized from the 90’s to the first part of 2000. The watercolours represent his personal relationship with the nature and the painting, a representation of the inner journez of the artist. In the text written by Daniela Madonna, the curator of the exhibiton:
” Like a small luminous casket, Davide Benati’s works unfold in a whisper of wind, generating an attractive pole that invites the observer to approach, and then give in to the ancestral reverberations of contemplation. The gaze is captured by the evocative chromatism of the masterfully watercolored papers, welcoming supports of shapes that go beyond their own recognizability to open up to the urgency of interpretation.”
Benati boasts two participations in the Venice Biennale, one with a personal room. There are also numerous invitations to international exhibitions in the curriculum. Since the early 1980s, the artist has effectively become one of the protagonists of European figurative painting.
